Make friends

It is universally to know that the friendship is one of the eternal themes in the literature of all the language. This is because human beings were born to need emotion and laughing friends. However it is impossible for us to make friends with everybody all over the world. We have to choose true friends; some of people like to choose friends who are similar to them, while others prefer to make different friends. Personally, I prefer both ways.
It goes well without saying that having similar friends has many advantages; we can feel strength when we have a group of old friends who would share our sufferings and happiness. Furthermore, they always know how to maintain mutual trust and how to avoid potential friction. I always feel delighted when I meet an old friend after a long departure. Probably, we are similar so that we have the resemble feeling. Although I said those friends are similar to me but actually no people are the same.
Nevertheless I believe that a variety of friends is equality advantageous. In the first place, to communicate with different friends will make my world outlook. For instance, I have found, it a real treasure to have so many friends on the campus who often help me with my hard work. Second, I have found that different friends cannot only lead to new adventures but also show me a couple of avenues in life. Third, they will help me with whatever difficulties I may get for some time in the future. That means different people have different characters. We can make up for weak points each other.
In conclusion, I prefer to have both these two types of friends and as many as possible. Of course, I will not forget any of my friends absolutely.

Keep the computers on

In our modern lives, the number of computers becomes more and more, they are already playing important roles in so many fields. Now, many people believe that the ability to use a computer is necessary for success.
According to my personal experience, that is true the using of computers will take us many benefits. Obviously, a number of children begin to play video games on the computers from very early. If playing in the right time and right places, which is not a way to waste the time, their golden years. Gaining far more knowledge and sciences about using the computers, maybe that is the most valuable thing in the early education, always it will be used for some time in the future. When I was young, the parents always don’t know how important it is to let us play computer during that time.
People who are at the elder age, they can sit before the computers for a little longer. To do some of their homework or deal with a new program, something just like that, it really can save a lot of time make them more intelligent. No matter what they will be, the thing that could save their time must be very necessary. Shakespeare had said: Time is wealth for workers, time is life for doctors, time is speed for scientists and time is everything for all of the normal people. The time will throw away the person who had thrown away the time. That means if people use the computers a lot, they will save much more time, time is life.
In face, holding the line to get the using ability is easier said than done. We learn any kinds of skills for self-improvement, not for showing we have so much free time. One of the most useful skills is to use a computer very well, in order to get vast vistas, and then to run our own successful business.

What makes me cry...

1) I love you not because of who you are, but because of who I am when I am with you.
2) No man or woman is worth your tears, and the one who is, will not make you cry.
3) The worst way to miss someone is to be sitting right beside them knowing you can‘t have them.
4) Never frown, even when you are sad, because you never know who is falling in love with your smile.
5) To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.
6) Don‘t waste your time on a man/woman, who isn‘t willing to waste their time on you. 7) Just because someone doesn‘t love you the way you want them to, doesn‘t mean they don‘t love you with all they have.
8) Don‘t try so hard, the best things come when you least.
9) Don‘t cry because it is over, smile because it happened.
I love these sentences because I am an emotional guy.

Last Spring Break

It was my first Spring Break in the United States; the school organized some Chinese students to take a trip to Washington DC, the capital city of the United States. For me, this was an opportunity to learn about American culture and monuments. Though the transportation was bus, I had to spend more than ten hours on the bus before arriving at the destination. I did not feel tired, because Washington DC was the place I want to travel to.
Washington DC is the capital city of America. The streets here are tidy; there are many parks, a lot of memorials and many public museums. If do not want to miss any valuable things, I should pay more attention to travel to every place. I’m interested in all the places in my visit, such as White House, US Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. After coming back home, I really wanted to see them again.
At the beginning, I arrived at the Lincoln Memorial. I was attracted by its style of design; it is like a palace in paradise. There are totally 36 pillars on the all sides; they delegate 36 states during Lincoln’s time. Walking up the stairs to enter into the hall, I saw a very high and big Lincoln statue sitting upright in the central local area. Also I found a small museum beside the main hall; it made travelers understand more about American history.
After finishing visiting the Lincoln Memorial hall, we went to the back of the hall to have a look at the beautiful lake. It is said the lakefront in autumn, with the smell of plum flower, the landscape will be more beautiful. I returned the center door of the memorial hall, and stood to take an overlook eastwards outside hall, I could see the Washington Monument, and it is one of the most famous landmarks of Washington DC. There is a long artificial pond in the front of the Washington Monument, which can clearly reflect an entire appearance of the monument. Then we just learned this pond is named “Reflecting Pool”, we must highly praise the singular design of the architect and his clever thought, he made the Lincoln Monument and the pond become a whole. We could also see many memorial buildings of wars in Washington DC, to witness the past in the United States. The Korean War Victim Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial are respectively located the two sides of the lake.
The US Capitol is a little far from the Washington Monument, it is one of the beauties in Washington DC. It was made of white marble; the building is like Roman architecture. Many trees and lawns are on all the sides, so it is also called Capitol Hill. The inner part of the building contains the Senate and House of the Representatives, also some canvases and huge murals are on the walls. They condense more than 200 years of history in the United States, with incredible value.
I could feel a number of Washington DC’s other characteristics; it has many museums and art buildings. There is an American National Gallery of Art nearby the Capitol building. It is separated by two parts, the eastern part and the western part. The eastern part was designed by Mr. Bob, a Chinese architect, which is listed in the top ten buildings in the modern American history. The exhibitions in the National Gallery of Art are rather valuable. Although I can’t understand the art completely, if I could be careful to appreciate it, I would also affected by its magical power.
This is the second time I came to the United States. After visiting some places that I have been to, I have a different feeling. Perhaps I had some more life experiences than before; maybe I had changed my mind. The trip make me have a new look to Washington DC. All the places had expressed the art spirits and patriotic spirits of American. Even though I am not an American, I must respect their spirits. Turning back to see the big trees in the parks and the whole verdant lawn, I felt very relaxed. Finally I know why the American’s mind is thus broad.

Big difference

When some international students just moved to this land, United States, so many things are strange to them. Everything in the United States is also very challenging and interesting. When a couple of problems take them some trouble, like the cultural differences between two countries, they must solve them in an intelligent way. Also, several opportunities are coming, and they must be taken. Further more, there are some difficulties and rewards coming to them together.
The first time I came to United States, some weather difficulties made me upset and anxious. A part of international students, like some Chinese, they cannot adapt to the weather here. Most of them are coming from southern part of China, it is very hot there. Even though in winter, someone takes a walk in the open air, blasts of wind also will give him some warmth. Some people never saw the snow before, so they really could not bear the low temperature in Hammond. They will be sick some time, luckily the welfare is wonderful, and otherwise it cannot be more serious.
Another difficulty is the price of the goods. The prices of the goods are determined by the standard of living of Americans. As we all know that America is the strongest country in the world, people definitely live more decent lives than people from any other countries. Therefore, if people decide to stay here for a long time, they have to pay much more than what they need to pay in other countries. For instance, rental fee, tuition fee, food and so on, so too much useless consumption is not advisable.
However, international students are also facing many rewards. First, America provides the best education all around the world. Not only the first class teaching facilities and professors, but also has the advanced teaching system. It is a valuable opportunity for them to study. It would lead them to a brighter future. In the process of studying, they can make some foreign friends, live alone, cook food, travel somewhere to open their eyes, know more about American culture. There is not any restriction around, it makes them quite comfortable. After graduating from the university, it is easier to get a good job. They will have enough income to support the families, gain skills of being a man. Working in different fields can give them different kinds of knowledge.
In fact, no matter where they will go, the difficulties and rewards are existent at the same time. It is all right if to solve both of them in a right way because they are just preparative for having vast vistas.
